How do you afford HIV medications?

If your family is already on a health plan, the law requires that they cover adopted children just like biological children. (Read more about insurance here.

However whether you need help covering the costs of insurance co-pays, or are uninsured, there are government programs in place to lower or, in many cases, completely cover the cost of prescriptions for children with HIV and AIDS.

The Ryan White Program and the Aids Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) are the main sources of HIV funding in the United States.
